On March 25, 2023, the "3rd Conference on Innovation in Mountain Bridge Construction and Maintenance Technology," jointly hosted by Kan She Co., Ltd., Guizhou Road & Bridge Group, and the Bridge Engineering and Technology Network, was solemnly held at the East景 Hilton Hotel in Guiyang. More than 350 experts, scholars, and technical service providers from across the country attended the conference, which featured a main forum plus several sub-forums for exchange and discussion.

Yang Jian, Chief Engineer of Kan She Co., Ltd., presided over the opening ceremony. Attending the meeting were leaders including Huang Qiang, Director of the Construction and Maintenance Division of the Guizhou Provincial Department of Transport; Shi Dawei, Chief Engineer of Guizhou Expressway Group Co., Ltd.; Zhao Yu, General Manager of Guizhou Bridge & Road Construction Group Co., Ltd.; Kong Yujian, Deputy General Manager of Guizhou Bridge Construction Group; Zhang Shenglin, Deputy General Manager and Chief Engineer of Guizhou Highway Construction Group; Zhang Shengli, Chairman of Guizhou Guijin Expressway Co., Ltd.; and Feng Xu, General Manager.

With the development of China’s bridge industry, while bridge construction has achieved long-term progress, it also faces numerous challenges—particularly in mountainous regions, where unique geological and topographical features, harsh climatic conditions, and frequent natural disasters place ever-higher demands on bridge technology. Conducting exchanges on technological innovations in the construction and maintenance of mountain bridges can help address major theoretical and core common technical issues in mountain bridge construction and safe operation, further enhancing the scientific level of mountain bridge construction and maintenance. This year’s conference is themed “Green—Smart—Innovative,” and has conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges from multiple perspectives, including improving the quality of bridge construction, ensuring high-quality bridge maintenance, and promoting safe and secure bridge operations.

The conference invited renowned experts and scholars in the field of bridge engineering, including Chen Kejian from China Railway Second Institute, Yan Aiguo from China Railway Fourth Institute, Tian Qixian from China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group, Li Zhao from Guizhou Road & Bridge Company, Wang Changjiang from Zhejiang Digital Intelligence Transportation Institute, Zhou Zhixiang from Shenzhen University, and Wang Shaorui from Chongqing Jiaotong University, to deliver keynote reports.

Kan She Shares Chief Engineer Yang Jian, Chief Engineer Ye Hongping from the Bridge Design Institute of the Transportation Business Division, and Senior Engineer Yu Junsil, as specially invited guests, each delivered a keynote report. The wholly-owned subsidiary, Hongxin Chuanda Engineering Inspection and Consulting Co., Ltd., set up an exhibition booth at the venue to showcase the company’s work in bridges. On March 26, the participants took a bus to the JinFeng Wujiang Bridge—the key control project of the Guiyang–Jinsha–Gulin Expressway—which was surveyed and designed by KanShe Shares and constructed by the Road & Bridge Group. The bridge has a total length of 1,473.5 meters. It has achieved numerous breakthroughs in green development, smart technology, and innovation. The participants highly praised the construction of the JinFeng Wujiang Bridge.
