On the morning of December 28, the third Guizhou Province “Most Beautiful Workers” award ceremony, themed “Paying Tribute to a Century of Labor Movement—Striving in the Most Beautiful Era,” was held at Guizhou Radio and Television Station. Twenty outstanding representatives from various sectors across the province, including Ye Hongping, an employee of Kan She Co., Ltd., were jointly awarded the honorary title of “Most Beautiful Worker.”
Comrade Ye Hongping has devoted himself deeply to bridge design, consulting, and research. He has accumulated more than 20 technical awards and obtained 5 national invention patents. He has been honored with titles such as “Outstanding Young Surveyor and Designer of Guizhou Province” and “One of the 100 Outstanding Engineers of the China Highway Society.” He also serves as a director of the China Association of Young Science and Technology Workers, a member of the Youth Expert Committee of the China Highway Society, a member of the Youth Federation of Guizhou Province, and a delegate to the 15th Congress of the Guizhou Provincial Trade Union.

Ye Hongping and his colleagues are dedicated to enhancing the global prominence of Guizhou’s bridges. Among the world’s 100 tallest bridges, 18 were designed by their team. He himself has led the design of more than twenty large-scale bridges characterized by highly complex engineering technologies. As the chief designer, he has completed projects including the Huajiang Canyon Bridge (the first-ever cable-stayed bridge in a mountainous region and the world’s highest bridge), the Tianmen Bridge (the world’s third-highest bridge), and the Shatuo Bridge (at the time of its completion, the longest-span continuous girder arch bridge in China). In the Huajiang Canyon Bridge project, they pioneered the use of forged-welded cable saddles for the first time, achieving structural lightweighting, green construction, and low-carbon environmental protection. They also proposed an aerodynamic solution featuring an upper central stabilizer plate combined with upper and lower horizontal stabilizer plates, ensuring superior wind resistance for the bridge. Furthermore, they have developed an integrated bridge-tourism complex that combines bridge sightseeing, bridge-based sports experiences, and tourism services, thereby contributing to Guizhou’s development as a world-class tourist destination. Under his leadership, the Bridge Design Team was awarded the 27th “China Youth May Fourth Medal” as a collective—Guizhou Province’s second time receiving this honor after the “FAST Team”—and the title of “Guizhou People of the New Era” as a collective.

With countless bridges soaring across the landscape and grand avenues crisscrossing the region, bridges have come to embody a unique and profound spiritual and cultural value for Guizhou, becoming a shining emblem of the province. Behind the miracle of these soaring bridges lies the wisdom and sense of responsibility of Guizhou’s transportation professionals, epitomized by Comrade Ye Hongping—testifying to the remarkable speed, quality, and dynamic momentum driving Guizhou’s transportation development forward in leaps and bounds.
