The seminar on Guizhou transportation enterprises entering the Indian market was held at our company.

On the afternoon of March 22, in response to the nation’s “Belt and Road” initiative and to guide Guizhou’s transportation enterprises in actively expanding overseas to seek development opportunities, a seminar on the development of Indian markets for Guizhou’s transportation enterprises was held at our company. Wang Bingqing, Party Secretary and Director of the Provincial Department of Transport, and Han Jianbo, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Transport, attended the seminar and delivered speeches. Also in attendance were heads of relevant divisions within the department, the Provincial Highway Bureau, Guizhou Expressway Group Co., Ltd., Guizhou Transportation Construction Group Co., Ltd., Guizhou Provincial Highway Engineering Group Co., Ltd., Guizhou Bridge Group Co., Ltd., Guizhou Road & Bridge Group Co., Ltd., Guizhou Provincial Institute of Transportation Planning, Surveying and Design Co., Ltd., and Guizhou Maritime Silk Road International Investment Co., Ltd., as well as representatives from other related units and departments.

In his speech, Director Wang Bingqing emphasized that actively guiding Guizhou’s transportation enterprises to go global and seize development opportunities is essential for further implementing the provincial Party committee and provincial government’s strategic plan of deepening reform and pursuing catch-up development through an open approach. This move will help Guizhou fully integrate into the national “Belt and Road” initiative and comprehensively enhance its level of opening up to the outside world. It also meets the needs of Guizhou’s transportation enterprises to reduce overcapacity and clear inventory, expand into overseas markets, and achieve further growth and development. In recent years, Guizhou’s transportation enterprises have accumulated rich experience in highway construction, particularly excelling in the technical expertise and strong capabilities required for building highways, bridges, and tunnels in mountainous regions. Moreover, Guizhou Expressway Group and Guizhou Transportation Construction Group have achieved significant growth and development in recent years, giving them the strength and capability to venture abroad. At the same time, India and China are both developing countries with substantial development opportunities in the field of transportation infrastructure construction. Therefore, Guizhou’s transportation-related enterprises should proactively study and formulate a “going global” strategy, diligently researching and assessing local social development environments, policies, regulations, and cultural characteristics. They should identify promising investment projects, effectively manage and mitigate project risks, actively participate in local economic development, explore new cooperation opportunities, expand new areas of collaboration, and strengthen their own enterprise development.

Deputy Director Han Jianbo pointed out that Guizhou’s transportation enterprises should focus on their long-term development and cultivate a strategic awareness of going global. They must deeply recognize that going global is an inevitable path for growth, carefully study the relevant policies of the country’s “Belt and Road” initiative, leverage government platforms, make good use of the high-quality platform provided by Guizhou Maritime Silk Road International Investment Co., Ltd., capitalize on their own enterprises’ strengths in related fields, clearly define their corporate positioning, and actively pursue overseas expansion through collaborative partnerships, thereby growing stronger and bigger in foreign markets.

At the meeting, Mr. Zhang Lin, Chairman of our company, and Mr. Zhang Hui, Deputy General Manager of Guizhou Maritime Silk Road International Investment Co., Ltd., introduced the local economic development situation in India, as well as the business operations of Guizhou Maritime Silk Road International Investment Co., Ltd. (referred to as GIIC) in India. They highlighted GIIC’s significant breakthroughs in its development in Andhra Pradesh, India. Representatives from the Department of Construction Management and the Finance Department, along with senior executives from transportation enterprises including Guizhou Expressway Group Co., Ltd., Guizhou Transportation Construction Group Co., Ltd., Guizhou Highway Engineering Group Co., Ltd., Guizhou Bridge Group Co., Ltd., and Guizhou Road & Bridge Group Co., Ltd., also delivered remarks and expressed their commitment to actively study and implement the “Going Global” strategy in the next phase.
