Technical Consulting Services for the Foreign-funded Loan of the Guiyang City Urban-Rural Integration Smart Transportation Demonstration Project This is another win for our firm in an external loan advisory project, following our successful bid in March 2023 for the “Management Consulting Services for the Guizhou Province Interconnected Rural Transportation Infrastructure Project Financed by the New Development Bank.”

The Guiyang Urban-Rural Integration Smart Transportation Demonstration Project is a major engineering project in Guizhou Province. Its construction scope includes four sub-projects: the upgrading and renovation of Xiaokang Road around Baihua Lake, the construction of a slow-travel system in the Baihua Lake Wetland Park, the smart system engineering around Baihua Lake, and institutional capacity-building. The project’s goal is to “circle” Baihua Lake, creating a “fast” travel experience and a “slow” lifestyle, and to establish the Baihua Lake Ecological Civilization Demonstration Zone as a benchmark for innovative urban-rural integration smart transportation in Guizhou. The total investment in the project amounts to approximately 4.2 billion yuan, of which 350 million U.S. dollars are sourced from loans provided by the New Development Bank. This project marks Guiyang’s first initiative to utilize funding from the New Development Bank.

The main tasks of the foreign-invested loan technical consulting services won by Kan She Co., Ltd. include financial management consulting, procurement and contract management consulting, environmental and social impact management consulting, project performance monitoring consulting, institutional capacity-building consulting, reporting and liaison, assistance in negotiations with the New Development Bank, and translation services.
