According to Document No. Qianshi Jian Ban Han [2024] No. 297 issued by the Guizhou Provincial Administration for Market Regulation, “Notice from the Provincial Administration for Market Regulation on Issuing the Seventh Batch of 2024 Local Standard Development and Revision Plans for Guizhou Province,” the four local standards—“Engineering Technical Specifications for Cavern-Based Data Centers: Part 1: Planning and Site Selection,” “Engineering Technical Specifications for Cavern-Based Data Centers: Part 2: Structural Design,” “Engineering Technical Specifications for Cavern-Based Data Centers: Part 3: Mechanical and Electrical Design,” and “Engineering Technical Specifications for Cavern-Based Data Centers: Part 4: Construction and Installation”—edited by Kan She Co., Ltd., have been included in the development and revision plan, and the standard drafting work has now been initiated.
On November 19, Kanshe Co., Ltd. organized and held the first working meeting of the drafting group for the series of standards titled “Engineering Technical Specifications for Cavern-Style Data Centers” (hereinafter referred to as the “Standards”) in Guiyang. The meeting was hosted by the Technical Quality Department of Kanshe Co., Ltd. Experts from participating organizations—including the Guizhou Provincial Institute of Standardization, China Railway Tunnel Group No. 2 Co., Ltd., China Electronics Technology Group Big Data Research Institute Co., Ltd., Guizhou Provincial Post and Telecommunications Planning & Design Institute Co., Ltd., Southwest Jiaotong University, professors from Guizhou University, and the Provincial Key Laboratory for Intelligent Construction and Operation & Maintenance of Mountainous Bridge and Tunnel Engineering in Guizhou Province (Guizhou QianGui Engineering Technology Service & Consulting Co., Ltd.)—as well as members of the drafting group, attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Yang Jian, Chief Engineer of Kan She Co., Ltd., delivered a welcoming address to the leaders and experts from all participating drafting units and announced the establishment of the standard drafting working group. The drafting group then presented the background of the standard’s development and the outline of the preliminary work. The attending leaders and experts reviewed the relevant materials and engaged in an in-depth discussion on the standard’s scientific validity, advanced nature, applicability, and guiding significance, while also putting forward suggestions for the next steps in the work.
