The preliminary design for the expansion of the Kunming (Minshan) to Chuxiong (Guangtong) Expressway in Yunnan Province has passed the review by the Yunnan Provincial Department of Transport.

On April 13, 2017, the Yunnan Provincial Department of Transport organized a preliminary design review meeting for the Kunming (Minshan) to Chuxiong (Guangtong) Expressway in Chuxiong, Yunnan Province.

The project starts at K0+933.818 near Minshan in Wuhua District, Kunming City, and ends at K186+830 in Guangtong Town, where it connects to the proposed Chuxiong-Dali Expressway expansion project. The total length of the route is 108.613 kilometers. The entire project is constructed to the technical standards for a six-lane dual-carriageway expressway, with a design speed of 100 km/h. The roadbed width is 33.5 meters, and the separated roadbed width is 16.75 meters. The project is divided into two civil engineering sections; our company is responsible for the survey and design work during the preliminary design phase of Section SJ-1, which is 35.850 kilometers long.

At the preliminary design review meeting, after carefully listening to the report from the design firm, the advisory opinions from the consulting firm, and the review comments from the reviewing body, the attending leaders and experts agreed that the preliminary design had passed the review. Our company’s designers will promptly revise and refine the design based on the advisory opinions, review comments, and reasonable suggestions provided by the attendees. The preliminary design documents will be submitted to the owner for approval before May 1st. (Figure / Text   Yang Guangqiang)
