On Thursday, April 20, 2017, the preliminary design review meeting for Phase II of the Yunnan-Lincheng Expressway was held in Linchang, Yunnan Province. Attending the meeting were representatives from the Cost Control Bureau of the Yunnan Provincial Department of Transportation, the Yunnan Provincial Highway Investment Corporation, the Linchang Municipal Government and its Transportation Bureau, the governments and transportation bureaus of counties (districts) along the route, the Yunnan Transportation Consulting Company, the Yunnan-Lincheng Expressway Construction Command, as well as design and supervision consulting firms. Our company was led by Deputy Chief Engineer Wang Xiancong, and personnel from the Yunnan Branch, the Third Institute, and the Geological Exploration Institute also participated in the meeting.
The Lincang Linxiang to Qingshuihe Expressway is located within the Linxiang District of Lincang City, Shuangjiang County, and Gengma County in Yunnan Province. It is a key section of the planned Kunming–Lincang–Gengma–Qingshuihe Expressway. The expressway is constructed to a standard of a four-lane dual-carriageway highway with a design speed of 80 km/h.
At the meeting, the two design firms provided detailed reports on the design of Phase II. Representatives of the consulting review experts shared their advisory opinions, and other expert attendees also offered their comments and suggestions.
