To enhance employees’ safety competence and awareness, and to foster a positive environment for safe production, 2018 Year 6 Moon 15 In the afternoon, the Tunnel and Bridge Division organized a meeting. 2018 Annual “Safe Production Month” ” The relevant thematic meeting was chaired by Director Zhou Sen of the Branch Institute, and all staff members attended. First, all employees watched an educational video on fire safety, carefully studying the lessons learned from past fire accidents. The video’s realistic scenarios helped employees gain a deeper understanding of the dangers of fires and the importance of safety awareness. Afterwards, under the guidance of Director Zhou, employees drew on their personal experiences to analyze and summarize previous safety incidents that had occurred around them, extracting valuable lessons and insights. In particular, given the characteristics of the Tunnel & Transportation Branch Institute—high service frequency, extended operational fronts, and elevated risk levels within tunnel environments—experienced staff members shared their practical knowledge and expertise on on-site safety precautions, covering topics such as proper wearing of safety helmets and selecting appropriate positions for standing inside tunnels. New employees all expressed that they had greatly benefited from these discussions. At the conclusion of the meeting, Director Zhou summarized the institute’s past safety efforts and outlined specific improvement measures for areas needing enhancement. He emphasized the importance of prioritizing safety alongside production, ensuring safe operations by taking hazard identification as the starting point and fostering strong safety awareness as the key safeguard. This approach will effectively guarantee both office-based production safety and the safety of post-construction services at construction sites, thereby preventing any safety incidents from occurring.
General Secretary Xi proposed at the safety conference: “Life first, safe development.” ” Safety production is crucial—on a large scale, it affects the development of the enterprise; on a small scale, it directly impacts the safety and property of employees. This meeting not only strengthens employees’ safety awareness but also enriches the “Safety Production Month.” ” To ensure that safety production standards and systems are not merely confined to paper but firmly ingrained in each of our minds, we must continuously strengthen and enhance employees’ safety awareness.
