2019 Year 5 Moon 24 On [date], the Highway Branch of the China Engineering Construction Standardization Association (hereinafter referred to as the “Highway Branch”) organized in Guiyang a review meeting for the draft outline of the “Technical Code for Fire-Fighting Water Supply in Expressway Tunnels,” which was edited by our company. Our company’s chief expert Ma Pingjun, General Manager of the Surveying and Exploration Division Long Wanxue, General Manager of the Science and Technology Division Du Yan, and other personnel involved in drafting the code attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Du Yan, General Manager of the Technology Division, delivered a welcome speech to the experts and introduced the background behind the development of the regulations. Overall, the person in charge of drafting the relevant procedures provided a detailed report on the specific content of the procedures. Chief expert Ma Pingjun, the lead editor of this procedure, supplemented the outline. Subsequently, the chief reviewing expert led the expert team in a careful review and discussion of the drafted outline and approved its passage. The experts unanimously agreed that it is both necessary and timely to develop this procedure in order to further enhance China’s highway tunnel fire-fighting water supply technology, ensure the stability and effectiveness of tunnel fire-fighting water supply, and meet the safety requirements for highway operations in China. The guiding principles of the procedure’s draft outline are clear, the content is basically comprehensive, the chapter arrangement and division of labor among the authors are generally reasonable, and the implementation plan is broadly feasible and can adequately meet the needs of the procedure’s development. Meanwhile, the expert panel offered valuable comments and suggestions regarding the procedure’s research content and chapter optimization. The successful conclusion of this outline review meeting has laid a solid foundation for the next stage of the procedure’s development.
