Chief Engineer Yang Jian and Vice President Long Wanxue attended the 2020 Academic Annual Conference of the Engineering Design Branch of the China Highway Society.


On November 6, 2020, the 2020 Academic Annual Conference of the Engineering Design Branch of the China Highway Society was successfully held at the Yurun Hanyue Building Hotel in Nanjing. The conference was organized by the Engineering Design Branch of the China Highway Society (hereinafter referred to as the Branch) and co-organized by the Expert Advisory Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial Comprehensive Transportation Society and Suzhou Jiaoke Group Co., Ltd. More than 120 representatives from over 50 member units across the country attended the conference. Yang Jian, Vice Chairman of the Branch and Chief Engineer of the company, and Long Wanxue, Vice President of the company and General Manager of the Surveying and Exploration Division, also attended the meeting.

The conference recognized 10 outstanding papers submitted to the sub-association for the year 2020. Among these, two papers from the company were honored: “Construction and Application of an Automated Monitoring Platform for Geological Hazards Based on WebGIS,” co-authored by Long Wanxue and Wang Jing, and “An Exploration of BIM-Assisted Design Applications in Bridge Engineering,” co-authored by Dai Shaokai, Zhang Jian, and Tang Chaolong.

The conference featured a wealth of academic exchanges centered around the theme of “New Infrastructure for Transportation and Digital Engineering.” Wang Xiaojing, Chief Scientist at the National ITS Center, delivered a keynote speech titled “Digitalization Driving the Construction of Next-Generation Intelligent Transportation.” Jin Ling, Deputy Director of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Transport, gave a keynote speech entitled “Understanding and Reflections on New Infrastructure for Transportation.” Zhang Yufeng, Director of the State Key Laboratory for Safety and Health of In-Service Large Bridges and Chief Engineer of the Transportation Science Research Institute at Suzhou Jiaokexue Group Co., Ltd., presented a keynote speech on “Dynamic Research into the Smart Development of Bridge Inspection and Monitoring Technologies.” The conference also included 11 specialized academic exchanges, covering topics such as project design sharing for the Wuhan Intelligent Connected Vehicle and Smart Transportation Application Demonstration Zone, as well as highlights and reflections on digitalization within the industrial chain by China Consulting Group. These sessions showcased the latest achievements in transportation new infrastructure and digital engineering. At the conference, Long Wanxue delivered a special presentation titled “Construction and Application of an Automated Geological Hazard Monitoring Platform Based on WebGIS,” and demonstrated the geological hazard monitoring platform on-site, receiving unanimous praise from the participants.
