The Renzun Expressway has been completed and opened to traffic.

12 Moon 15 On that day, the opening ceremony for the Renzun Expressway was held on the Dafagou Super Bridge. Yang Jian, chief engineer of Kan She Co., Ltd., led a team to attend the opening ceremony. 16 time 08 As the resounding voice of Huang Dafa, the recipient of the “July 1st” Medal and a role model of our times—now serving as the former village secretary—echoed, “I hereby declare that the Renzun Expressway is now open to traffic!” the Renzun Expressway officially began its trial operation.

The Renzun Expressway is part of the G4215 Chengdu-Zunyi connecting line, which serves as a link to the Shanghai-Chengdu Expressway G42. The project starts at Canglong in Renhuai City and ends at the Zhongzhuang Taoxi Interchange. The main route is constructed to the standard of a six-lane dual-carriageway expressway with a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour. The total length of the highway is 52.45 kilometers, and the total investment amounts to 12.826 billion yuan.

Kanshe Shares undertook the overall design of the Renzun Expressway as well as the survey and design for Section No. 1. The design incorporated terrain-based alignment selection, geological-based alignment selection, environmentally friendly alignment selection, integration of transportation and tourism, and innovative design approaches. By conducting surveys before finalizing alignments, the project effectively avoided numerous areas with adverse geological conditions, including large-scale debris accumulations, karst formations, mined-out areas, and bedding-plane slopes, thereby minimizing engineering risks, reducing construction costs, and maximizing environmental protection. Through flexible application of technical specifications, the project also managed to bypass water source protection zones as much as possible and safeguard rare tree species and historic buildings. Innovatively, the Dafafa Interchange was integrated with the Dafafa Parking Area, greatly enhancing the promotion of Tuie Village’s tourism resources and facilitating the marketing and sale of its agricultural products. This approach provides a fresh perspective on leveraging expressways to boost local tourism development and promote the sale of specialty agricultural and local products.

The Dafa Canal Super Bridge is a key project on the Renzun Expressway. The bridge’s name, “Dafa,” perfectly reflects the “Dafa Spirit.” With a total length of 1,427 meters, a main span of 410 meters, and a width of 33 meters, it is the world’s widest large-span steel tube concrete arch bridge. Its construction process has had to overcome multiple challenges posed by complex topography, geological conditions, and the natural environment, making it an exceptionally demanding engineering project.

After the opening of the Renzun Expressway, the travel time between Zunyi—the “City of Great Turning Point”—and Renhuai—the “Chinese Liquor Capital”—has been reduced from the previous 90 minutes to just 30 minutes. This will significantly boost the development of the local tourism industry and the export of agricultural and specialty products, strengthen connections between rural areas along the route and urban centers, and inject strong momentum into the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy along the corridor.
