On May 19, the inaugural meeting for the renewal of the Guizhou Provincial Technical Committee for Transportation Standardization (hereinafter referred to as “Guizhou Transport Standards Committee”) was held at Kan She Co., Ltd. Xu Xianghua, a member of the Guizhou Transport Standards Committee and chief engineer of the Provincial Department of Transport, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Relevant officials from the Provincial Department of Transport and members of the Guizhou Transport Standards Committee also participated in the meeting.
At the meeting, Dong Xiang, Deputy Secretary-General of the Guizhou Transportation Standardization Committee and Director of the Science and Technology Division of the Provincial Department of Transport, read out the approval document for the renewal of the committee’s leadership and the list of members of the Guizhou Transportation Standardization Committee. Kang Hourong, Deputy Chairman of the first-term Guizhou Transportation Standardization Committee and a Second-Level Inspector at the Provincial Department of Transport, delivered the work report for the first term. Yang Jian, Secretary-General of the Guizhou Transportation Standardization Committee and Chief Engineer of Kan She Co., Ltd., presented the work plan for the second term. All committee members then engaged in a thorough discussion on the upcoming work plans of the Guizhou Transportation Standardization Committee. The meeting reviewed and approved three proposals: the “Draft Charter of the Guizhou Province Transportation Standardization Technical Committee,” the “System Framework Diagram of the Guizhou Province Transportation Standardization Technical Committee,” and the “Draft Detailed Rules of Procedure for the Secretariat of the Guizhou Province Transportation Standardization Technical Committee.”
In his speech, Xu Xianghua fully affirmed the work and achievements made by the previous Guizhou Transportation Standardization Committee. He pointed out that over the past seven years, the Guizhou Transportation Standardization Committee has carried out a great deal of effective work, closely focusing on the overall economic and social development of the province and the evolving needs of the transportation sector. Our province’s standardization efforts in the transportation sector have been moving toward greater standardization and rationality, and the supporting and leading role of the standardization system in promoting high-quality transportation development has been fully demonstrated. Xu Xianghua emphasized four key points for the work of the new Guizhou Transportation Standardization Committee: First, strengthen organizational development and boost organizational vitality; second, optimize operational mechanisms to ensure the smooth functioning of work; third, focus on high-quality transportation development and plan and formulate high-quality standards; and fourth, intensify training efforts and accelerate the development of standardized talent.
