On May 29, the 2024 Guizhou Transportation Science and Technology Week—Standardization and Technical Special Training—was successfully held at Kan She Co., Ltd. This event was jointly organized by the Guizhou Provincial Transportation Standardization Technical Committee and the Guizhou Highway Society. Kan She Co., Ltd., as the secretariat unit of the Guizhou Provincial Transportation Standardization Technical Committee and a vice-chairman unit of the Guizhou Highway Society, served as the specific organizer of this training.

This training session focuses on the transportation industry standards recently promulgated and implemented in Guizhou Province. After careful selection, we have specifically chosen three local standards: “Technical Specifications for the Reconstruction and Expansion of Ordinary Roads in Mountainous Areas” (DB52/T 1609-2021), “Technical Regulations for High-Performance Concrete Made with Mechanically Produced Sand for Expressways in Guizhou Province” (DB52/T 055-2015), and “Technical Regulations for Preventing Alkali-Aggregate Reaction in Concrete for Highway Engineering” (DB52/T 1704-2022). In addition, we will also provide guidance and training on two group standards: “Technical Specifications for Maintenance of Highway Traffic Markings in Guizhou Province” and “Technical Guidelines for Reflective Outline Strips in Highway Tunnels.” Over a hundred professionals from the transportation sector and standardization experts from across the province participated in this training.

The experts fully leveraged their professional strengths and practical experience to provide a comprehensive and in-depth interpretation of the selected standards. They elaborated in detail on the background, objectives, key contents, and implementation requirements of the standards, and illustrated their practical application and significant importance in the transportation industry through real-world case studies. This training not only deepened the participants’ understanding of the standard content but also enhanced their awareness and capability in applying these standards in their work and promoting the development of industry standardization.

As an important component of the Science and Technology Week series of events, this training has achieved remarkable results and played a positive role in promoting technological exchanges within the industry. Looking ahead, Kan She Co., Ltd. will continue to deepen cooperation and exchange with all parties, dedicating itself to the formulation, implementation, and popularization of transportation industry standards, thereby providing solid support for the industry’s steady development and helping it move forward steadily along a path of standardization and regularization.
