“Application and Promotion of Mountain Highway Construction and Operation Management Technologies in the Qianxi Bidu Expressway”

On November 16, 2016, the Transportation Science and Technology Management Center of the Transportation Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport convened a completion acceptance meeting in Guiyang for the Ministry of Transport’s science and technology achievement promotion project titled “Application and Promotion of Highway Construction and Operation & Management Technologies for Mountainous Areas on the Qianxi-Bidu Expressway.”

This project is a 2012 science and technology achievement promotion project sponsored by the Ministry of Transport. Organized by the Provincial Department of Transport and undertaken by Guizhou Expressway Group Co., Ltd., it is jointly implemented by the Highway Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport, the Chongqing Transportation Research & Design Institute of China Merchants Bureau Co., Ltd., and our company. The project has promoted and applied a total of 15 scientific research achievements, covering both traffic safety assurance and low-carbon environmental protection categories. Our company is responsible for the promotion and application of four of these achievements, including geological hazard monitoring and forecasting technology as well as integrated geophysical exploration technology for concealed karst formations.

At the meeting, the acceptance expert panel—led by Academician Zheng Jianlong—carefully listened to the project report and reviewed the relevant achievement documents. After questioning and discussion, the panel unanimously concluded that the project documentation was complete, the achievements were abundant, and the project had been successfully completed, meeting all acceptance criteria.
