The Guizhou Provincial Transportation Construction Quality Supervision Bureau organized transportation quality supervision agencies from across the province to visit and observe the Zun-Gui Expansion Project site.

On February 23, 2017, Director Xu Xianghua of the Guizhou Provincial Transportation Construction Quality Supervision Bureau organized leaders in charge from the Provincial Highway Bureau, the Provincial Navigation Administration, transportation bureaus of various cities (prefectures), and transportation quality supervision agencies across the province to conduct an on-site observation of the Zun-Gui Expansion Project. Director Xu and his delegation visited, in turn, the subgrade filling, culvert construction, slope frame anchor cable (rod) construction, bridge deck paving, and guardrails of Contract Section No. 6 of the Zun-Gui Expansion Project, as well as Section No. 7.

The site visits included the precast T-beam yard for Contract Section T, the erection of beam segments, and the construction sites for the Dapingzi Tunnel and the Hefeng Interchange’s cast-in-place support structures under our company’s supervision. After listening to reports from the construction units at these sites, Director Xu provided a systematic and in-depth explanation of the unique characteristics of each site, enabling all participants to gain a clearer and more precise understanding of the advantages and highlights of various construction techniques.

At 6 p.m., at the observation and exchange meeting held in Hefeng, Zhao Heng, Chief of the Quality and Safety Section of the Supervision Office for the Zun-Gui Expansion Project, on behalf of the Project (Supervision) Office, introduced the project’s construction status as well as the office’s experience and achievements in project management. After listening to the report, Director Xu Xianghua fully affirmed the achievements made by the Zun-Gui Expansion Project and highly praised the Project (Supervision) Office, saying, “The quality of a project reflects the nature of its owner!” He urged all participants to earnestly study the successful management experiences of the Project Office, strengthen project management efforts, and thoroughly implement the concept of construction standardization across all ongoing projects.
