On the afternoon of December 4, the launch ceremony for “United in Striving, Steadfastly Advancing—Guizhou People in the New Era 2024” was held at the studio of Guizhou Radio and Television Station. During the ceremony, 20 exemplary “Guizhou People in the New Era” and 30 nominated candidates were publicly announced. The Guizhou Transportation Mountainous Area Canyon Bridge Construction Technology Team was selected as one of the “Guizhou People in the New Era 2024.” Yang Jian, Chief Engineer of Kan She Co., Ltd., was invited to attend the launch ceremony as an outstanding representative of the Guizhou Transportation Mountainous Area Canyon Bridge Construction Technology Team.

With firm ideals and unwavering dedication, they have created one extraordinary miracle after another. Their sweat and actions have forged a heroic ensemble that embodies the new-era face of Guizhou. Their exemplary deeds serve as a vivid portrayal of the practical achievements and spiritual outlook of Guizhou’s cadres and people in the new era.
The Guizhou Transportation Mountain-Canyon Bridge Construction Technology Team, which was selected as one of the “Guizhou People of the New Era” for 2024, is a team primarily composed of 16 bridge experts (including four members from Kan She Co., Ltd.: Chief Engineer Yang Jian, Chief Engineer of the Transportation Division Liu Jianjun, Deputy Director of the Bridge Design Branch Yang Hongbo, and Assistant to the General Manager Wu Dahong). This team has overcome global challenges such as the complex and ever-changing environmental conditions in mountain-canyon bridge construction, the limitations of large-scale equipment and traditional construction methods, and the fragility of the ecological environment. They have pioneered seven internationally leading technologies in bridge construction processes, equipment, and materials, and have built 12 bridges that rank first in the world, thereby setting the pace for the development of global mountain-canyon bridge construction technology. The team has received six international awards, including the Gustav Lindenthal Medal—the “Nobel Prize of the bridge industry”—two National Awards for Scientific and Technological Progress, 56 invention patents, and 20 national engineering awards such as the Zhan Tianyou Award and the Luban Award. In 2023, the team was honored with the title of “National Outstanding Engineering Team.”
