The prestress testing services for bridges under Contract ZGF-10, undertaken by Guizhou Hongxin Chuanda Engineering Testing & Consulting Co., Ltd. for the Guizhou Province Zunyi-Guiyang Highway Expansion Project (Qingshan-Yangchang Section and Yangchang Interchange), cover the prestress testing of four large-span continuous rigid-frame bridges. This marks the first-ever systematic testing of effective prestress levels at the anchorages of continuous rigid-frame bridges in our province, and it holds significant positive implications for ensuring the quality of prestress construction in these bridges.
On May 12, 2017, the Supervision Office of the Zun-Gui Expansion Project of Guizhou Expressway Group Co., Ltd. hosted a meeting in Guiyang to review the implementation plan for static load tests on single beams and prestress inspections of bridges, as well as the typical reports for the ZGF-10 section of the Zun-Gui Expansion Project (from Qingshan to Yangchang section and Yangchang interchange). The experts attending the meeting listened to a report by the testing agency, Guizhou Hongxin Chuanda Engineering Testing & Consulting Co., Ltd., on the implementation plan and typical reports for prestress inspections, and reviewed the relevant documentation. After careful review and deliberation, the expert panel unanimously concluded that the implementation plan adopted for the prestress inspections of the four continuous rigid-frame bridges in the Zun-Gui Expansion Project was comprehensive in content and feasible in methodology, effectively ensuring the quality of prestress construction. The panel agreed to approve the plan. Given that this is the first time our province has conducted prestress and grouting compactness inspections on high-pier, large-span continuous rigid-frame bridges, the expert panel recommended that our company accumulate more empirical data to provide a solid, foundational reference for the design, construction, and inspection of similar structures in the future.
