At the symposium, General Manager Yu Linlin provided our side with a detailed introduction to Cambodia’s political, economic, cultural, and infrastructural development. Currently, Cambodia’s economy is still predominantly agricultural, its industrial base remains relatively weak, and its infrastructure is comparatively underdeveloped. Since the launch of the Belt and Road Initiative, China has stepped up its assistance to Southeast Asian countries—including Cambodia—resulting in rapid growth in infrastructure investment in Cambodia in recent years and creating numerous opportunities for Chinese infrastructure enterprises. During the meeting, General Manager Yu Linlin proposed that both sides could leverage their respective strengths, integrate resources, and jointly enter the Cambodian infrastructure market.
