On August 16, 2018, a delegation of five members, led by Bhawani Rana, Chairman of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and Chairman of Fortune Private Investment Co., Ltd., visited our company for an inspection and study tour, organized by Guizhou Maritime Silk Road International Investment Co., Ltd. At the company’s 17th-floor conference room, Qi Guirong, General Manager of the joint-stock company, along with senior representatives from eight other enterprises—including Guizhou Provincial Highway Engineering Group Co., Ltd. and the Guizhou Branch of the Export-Import Bank of China—engaged in an in-depth exchange with the five-member Nepalese delegation.
The Nepalese delegation’s visit to Guizhou is conducted against the backdrop of China’s “Belt and Road” initiative. The purpose is to conduct a research study on the development trends in Guizhou’s infrastructure construction and investment & financing sectors, seek opportunities for cooperation, and achieve common development.
Chairperson Bhawani Rana delivered the first speech on behalf of the Nepalese side, expressing gratitude for our company’s warm hospitality. She pointed out that Nepal’s political situation is currently stable, presenting an excellent opportunity for significant development. She expressed hope that, in the coming years, both sides can seize these development trends and jointly promote the growth of Nepal’s infrastructure sector.
At the meeting, representatives from Guizhou-based enterprises each introduced to the Nepalese delegation their companies’ profiles, business scopes, performance achievements, and industry strengths. The Nepalese side expressed high appreciation for the outstanding achievements made by Guizhou enterprises in the field of infrastructure construction, and provided a detailed overview of Nepal’s urban development, related infrastructure conditions, and power development plans.
The participating parties engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions on specific matters related to the proposed collaborative project, and they reached a preliminary consensus on cooperation.
