At 2:30 p.m. on January 10, 2019, a symposium for enterprises convened by the Department of Commerce of Guizhou Province was held in the conference room on the 17th floor of our company. The symposium was organized to implement the “Guizhou Province Action Plan for Promoting Enterprises’ ‘Going Global’ along the Belt and Road Initiative (2018-2020).” This meeting aimed to carry out the arrangements made at the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China—namely, “promoting the formation of a new pattern of comprehensive opening-up, with the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative as the priority, and adhering to both attracting investment from abroad and going global”—to make good use of both international and domestic “two markets and two types of resources,” to foster the integrated development of investment and trade, to advance international cooperation in capacity and equipment manufacturing, and to encourage Guizhou’s enterprises to “go global” along the Belt and Road Initiative, thereby further expanding our province’s opening-up to the outside world.

Conference venue
Wang Yuxiang, Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Commerce (at the bureau-level), attended and chaired the meeting. Eight relevant agencies—including the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, the Exit-Entry Administration of the Provincial Public Security Department, the Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, the Guizhou Branch of the China Development Bank, and the Guizhou Branch of the Export-Import Bank of China—participated in the meeting. Thirty-four enterprises, including Guizhou Provincial Transportation Planning, Surveying and Design Research Institute Co., Ltd. and China Railway Fifth Bureau Group Construction Engineering Co., Ltd., also attended the meeting.
At the meeting, leaders from the Provincial Department of Commerce and related organizations conveyed the spirit of the action plan, carefully listened to remarks by representatives from participating enterprises, and engaged in in-depth discussions with everyone on relevant issues.
Zhang Lin, Chairman of our company, and Guan Xiaoqing, Deputy General Manager, attended the meeting. On behalf of Kan She Co., Ltd., Chairman Zhang Lin delivered a speech, summarizing our company’s achievements and challenges encountered in overseas business development since we began expanding abroad in 2013. He also put forward suggestions regarding the need for government support and assistance as our company continues to venture into international markets in the future.
The meeting concluded successfully at 7:30 p.m., and will play a positive role in encouraging and promoting Guizhou Province’s enterprises to “go global” along the Belt and Road initiative.
