2019 Year 5 Moon 25 Day, in 2019 At the China International Big Data Industry Expo, Tao Changhai, Vice Governor of Guizhou Province, and Hong Xiaofeng, Deputy Director-General of the Science and Technology Department of the Ministry of Transport, jointly unveiled the "Guizhou Digital Transportation Research Institute," which has been established by our company.

The Guizhou Digital Transportation Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as the “Institute”) is a privately-run non-enterprise entity approved by the Department of Civil Affairs of Guizhou Province. It was established under the leadership of the Guizhou Provincial Department of Transport, in collaboration with several institutions and industry enterprises. The Institute is Guizhou’s first organization dedicated to tracking and applying cutting-edge digital transportation technologies, and also represents a new type of research institution that Guizhou has innovatively developed to meet the demands of digital transformation. To effectively promote the Institute’s development, the founding entities unanimously agreed that the Institute would be based on and built through our company, and they elected Mr. Zhang Lin, Chairman of our company, as its Chairman of the Board and legal representative.

“The institute’s innovation lies in its exploration of new models,” said Gao Weidong, Director of the Guizhou Provincial Department of Transport. “The institute will leverage the openness of non-profit organizations to attract more universities and enterprises to join the research efforts. This approach, which combines the management advantages of private enterprises, will make the system more flexible and enable greater integration of resources.”

The research institute will be led by Xu Zongben, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, as its chief expert. Xie Xiaoyao, Vice President of Guizhou Normal University, Lu Huapu, Director of the Institute of Transportation at Tsinghua University, and Wang Gang, Deputy Director of the Road Network Monitoring and Emergency Response Center of the Ministry of Transport, will serve as specially invited experts. In the future, the institute will focus on the development of the digital transportation industry and the commercialization of its achievements, creating an innovative platform that deeply integrates talent cultivation, academic research, and industry-academia-research-application collaboration in the field of transportation informatization. This platform will support and promote the development of digital transportation in Guizhou Province, the southwestern region, and even the entire country.
