8 Moon 27 On [date], the promotion meeting for Lincang City’s establishment as a national demonstration zone for innovative implementation of the Sustainable Development Agenda was held in Lincang City, Yunnan Province. During the meeting, Lincang City signed cooperation agreements with relevant organizations and enterprises.
Xu Nanping, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China; Dong Hua, Vice Governor of the People's Government of Yunnan Province; China 21 Huang Jing, Director of the Century Agenda Management Center, Yang Haodong, Secretary of the Lincang Municipal Party Committee, and Li Jianzhu, Inspector of the Science and Technology Department of the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, attended the signing ceremony and witnessed the signing. Zhang Zhizheng, Deputy Secretary of the Lincang Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, presided over the meeting.
The meeting focused on the “Five Major Initiatives” for building Lincang City into a demonstration zone for innovation. The Lincang Municipal Government, governments of all counties (districts), the Management Committee of the Lincang Industrial Park, and the Management Committee of the Lincang Border Cooperation Zone jointly signed project agreements. 34 These include multiple sectors such as deep processing of agricultural products, cultural tourism, distinctive small towns, commerce and logistics, new materials and new energy, and infrastructure development.
Zhang Lin, Chairman of Kan She Co., Ltd., and Lü Xiaoshun, Deputy General Manager and Chief Economist, were invited to attend the meeting. On behalf of Kan She Co., Ltd., Chairman Zhang Lin signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Lincang Municipal Government, opening up broad prospects for the company’s next phase of diversified development.
