This competition aims to cultivate college students majoring in bridge engineering and related fields in our province by fostering their interest in their field of study, unlocking their potential, enhancing their comprehensive design skills and teamwork spirit, and improving their practical abilities in bridge design and fabrication processes through the effective use of information technology and a spirit of innovation. It also seeks to deepen students’ understanding of bridge structures and provide a platform for them to showcase their talents and unleash their creativity. The competition is guided by the Guizhou Provincial Association for Science and Technology, organized by the Guizhou Highway Society, sponsored by a company, and specifically implemented by the sponsor. The event has received strong support from institutions including Guizhou University, Guizhou University of Science and Technology, and Guizhou College of Transportation and Technology. The finals have invited participants from inside and outside the province. 7 A panel of expert judges, composed of renowned industry professionals and professors, was assembled for this competition. Professor Zhou Shuixing, Director of the Bridge Engineering Department at the School of Civil and Architectural Engineering of Chongqing Jiaotong University, served as the panel’s chairperson, while Professor Zeng Qiang, Dean of the School of Art and Design at Chongqing Jiaotong University, served as the vice-chairperson. The panel members include: Professor Mei Shilong from Guizhou University; Yang Jian, Chief Engineer of Guizhou Provincial Transportation Planning, Survey & Design Research Institute Co., Ltd.; Mu Jinwei, Deputy General Manager and Chief Engineer of Guizhou Highway Engineering Group Co., Ltd.; Han Hongju, Chief Engineer of Guizhou Bridge Construction Group Co., Ltd.; and Zhang Shenglin, Chief Engineer of Guizhou Bridge Construction Group Limited Liability Company. This competition is divided into two categories—vocational college students and undergraduate students or above—each of which will hold separate defense presentations. Each category will proceed through the following stages involving participating teams: PPT The intense competition among various segments—including lectures, model demonstrations, video screenings, expert commentary and Q&A sessions, and group member presentations—culminated in the selection of a special grand prize by the panel of experts, based on a comprehensive evaluation of participants’ overall performance. 1 Item: First prizes will be awarded separately in each of the two competition categories. 1 Item, Second Prize 1 Item, Third Prize 2 Item, a total of two groups 9 The award-winning work.
