From June 15 to June 18, the World Transportation Engineering Technology Forum (WTC 2021) was grandly held in Xi'an, drawing widespread attention and high regard from the global transportation community. Our company’s Chief Engineer Yang Jian led a delegation to attend this prestigious event. During the conference, the “World Transportation Engineering Technology Forum—2021 Bridge Development Forum,” co-organized by our company, saw a lively and enthusiastic atmosphere of discussion at the venue, earning broad acclaim and attention from both industry professionals and academia. Meanwhile, our company’s participation in the Transportation Technology Expo provided attendees with a comprehensive showcase of our latest technological achievements, receiving unanimous praise from all participants. Following the conference, the China Highway Society sent a letter of thanks to our company.

This conference featured a special awards ceremony for the International Bridge Conference (IBC) winning projects for the 2020-2021 period. Members of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Comrade Weng Mengyong, and Academician Zhang Xigang from the Chinese Academy of Engineering presented commemorative medals and certificates to representatives of the award-winning projects, including the Pingtang Bridge, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, and the Shanghai-Suzhou-Tong Yangtze River Highway Bridge, and posed for a group photo together.

The International Bridge Conference (IBC) is a highly prestigious international academic conference on bridges, organized by the Western Pennsylvania Engineers’ Society in the United States. It enjoys broad influence within the global bridge community. Established in 1988, the IBC Bridge Awards are presented annually and are widely regarded as the “Nobel Prize of the bridge world.” Since their inception, numerous world-class, iconic bridges—including the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, the San Francisco–Oakland Bay Bridge in the U.S., the Tsing Ma Bridge in Hong Kong, the Tianxingzhou Bridge in Wuhan, the Sutong Yangtze River Highway Bridge, the Xihoumen Bridge, the Rio-Antirrio Bridge in Greece, and the Millau Viaduct in France—have all received IBC awards. On June 16, at the invitation of the conference organizing committee, Yang Jian, the company’s chief engineer, attended the World Transport Engineering Forum—2021 Bridge Development Forum and delivered a special report titled “Key Technologies in the Construction of the Pingtang Bridge.” In his presentation, he introduced the construction challenges and solutions faced by the Pingtang Bridge, key design considerations for the three-tower steel-concrete composite cable-stayed bridge, the full-segment longitudinal shifting and rotational launching technology, and his experiences and impressions from submitting the project for the International Bridge Conference (IBC) award.

On June 18, at the invitation of the Youth Experts Committee of the China Highway Society, Yang Jian, Chief Engineer of our company, delivered a special report titled “Innovations in the Construction of Large-Span Bridges in Canyon Areas” at the 4th Forum for Young Scientists. Using the Lüzhijiang Bridge and Pingtang Bridge—both designed by our company—as examples, he discussed the major challenges faced in constructing large-span bridges in mountainous regions and the corresponding countermeasures. He also explored technical approaches for the industrialized construction of bridges in mountainous areas.

During the conference, Hongxinda Company participated in the exhibition at the World Forum on Transportation Engineering and Technology, where we provided a detailed introduction and demonstration of our company’s “Comprehensive Enterprise and Project Management Platform for Transportation and Engineering Enterprises” and the “Guizhou Province ETC Gate Clamp Operation and Maintenance Monitoring Service Center.”

This conference focused on hot topics such as the century-long achievements in transportation development, building a transportation powerhouse, smart transportation, new infrastructure for transportation, future transportation and sustainable development, vehicle-to-everything (V2X) networks, and autonomous driving. It provided an opportunity to explore the latest technological advancements, current levels of expertise, and emerging trends in the global transportation sector. The company’s participating leaders and technical experts actively engaged in discussions with industry stakeholders from various sectors, exchanging insights on the industry’s future prospects and delving deeply into current hot-button issues. During the conference, more than 200 pieces of promotional materials were distributed, and over 500 individuals were received for exchanges and negotiations. This fully demonstrated the company’s innovative strength and R&D achievements in the transportation field, yielding remarkable results in both publicity and networking.
