The First “Kan She ACE” Work Skills Competition—Employee Presentation Skills Contest—Was Successfully Held.

On October 19, the finals of the company’s first “Kan She ACE” Work Skills Competition—the Employee Presentation Skills Contest—were officially held. Party Secretary Jia Long, Deputy General Manager and Board Secretary Huang Guojian, Chief Engineer Yang Jian, Deputy Party Secretary and Union Chairman Peng Jiao, Director of the Board Office Tian Ye, Head of the Human Resources Department Yang Jin, and Deputy Head of the Human Resources Department Zhang Lanlan, among other leaders, attended the event as judges and jointly witnessed the exciting moments of the competition.

The “Kanshe·ACE” Work Skills Competition is a series of job-skills competitions launched by the company to implement its “14th Five-Year” Strategic Plan and enhance employees’ work skills. This reporting competition marks the inaugural event of “Kanshe·ACE.” It has received enthusiastic responses and widespread attention from all departments and branches/subsidiaries of the company. After undergoing preliminary selection, 45 entries—representing a total of 95 contestants—were narrowed down to 18 finalists.

In the finals, all participating contestants demonstrated original ideas, diverse topics, and fluent expression, seamlessly integrating their professional expertise with their presentation skills to deliver outstanding demonstration reports for our employees. Chen Yinggao and Ye Hongping from the Bridge Design Institute of the Transportation Business Division shared their insights on the application process for the Pingtang Bridge’s international award and the “Bridge-Tourism Integration” concept for the Huajiang Canyon Bridge, respectively, earning high praise from the expert judges. Wu Dahong, Director of the General Manager’s Office, took “Careful Word Choice” as his theme and shared key points and standards for official document writing through vivid and easy-to-understand examples. Xu Yuanhua, Jiang Tong, and Li Kaidi from the Second Survey and Design Institute of the Transportation Business Division presented project case studies in highway design, showcasing not only the technical strength of the Second Survey and Design Institute but also its strong sense of cohesion and collaborative spirit. Shao Dan from the Technical Quality Department shared her thoughts and visions on knowledge management within the company’s strategic context under the theme “Clouds and Bells.” Liu Lingqi from the Comprehensive Management Department introduced the development of the company’s Party-building brand, “Survey & Design Vanguard—A Bright Future for Guizhou.” Chun Junwei from the Tunnel and Underground Space Design Institute of the Transportation Business Division then presented the cloud-based data platform for tunnels and underground spaces developed by his team, receiving unanimous acclaim from both the audience and the judges.

In addition, participating contestants and teams—including Zhang Youyou and Liu Guannan from the Investment and Development Division; Liu Depu and Zhou Juan from the Second Design Institute of the Architecture Division; Xiao Peng and Wang Li from the BIM Center of the Transportation Division; Tang Sai from the Second Municipal Institute of the Municipal Engineering Division; and Liu Guopan and Wu Weiyi from the Public Security Research Institute of the Smart Industry Division—each leveraged their daily work and ongoing projects to deliver presentations on topics ranging from supply chain management and the application of BIM technology to municipal road design, offering the audience a vibrant and engaging presentation competition.

This competition innovatively adopted a joint scoring system, with both expert judges and audience judges contributing to the evaluation. Moreover, an online livestream was used to invite viewers from around the world to cast real-time votes for the contestants. After intense competition, a total of three entries were awarded the “Outstanding Award,” nine entries received the “Rising Star Award,” “Lean Award,” and “Fashion Award” respectively, and 14 entries were honored with the “Excellent Award.” One entry was also awarded the “Special Contribution Award” (results are listed at the end). In addition, thanks to real-time voting by online audiences, Xu Yuanhua and Li Kaidi from the Second Survey and Design Institute of Bridges under the Transportation Division were crowned the “Most Popular Contestants” of this competition.

At the end of the competition, the expert judges commented on the contestants’ outstanding performances.
Chief Engineer Yang Jian began by providing detailed comments on each of the submitted entries, greatly benefiting both the contestants and the audience. He pointed out that presentation and reporting are essential skills that company employees should master in their daily work. He expressed his hope that this competition would encourage employees to learn from one another, make joint progress, and lay a solid foundation for the company’s high-quality development.

Huang Guojian, Deputy General Manager and Secretary to the Chairman, pointed out that, compared to production technology, the company’s employees previously had certain shortcomings in reporting. The holding of this competition marks a significant leap forward in our reporting skills. Moving forward, we will apply the experiences gained by the contestants in this competition as well as the advice provided by the expert judges to our daily work, thereby comprehensively enhancing the overall quality and competence of our employees.

Finally, Jia Long, Secretary of the Party Committee, gave high praise to this competition. He pointed out that the presentation skills competition is of great significance for enhancing the overall strength of the project and promoting innovative development. This competition showcased the comprehensive capabilities of the company’s employees in presentation skills. He expressed his hope that the winning contestants and teams would set a good example and take this competition as a new starting point to strive for excellence and keep making continuous progress.
