Business Introduction

 

In the highway industry, our company primarily undertakes planning, feasibility studies, surveying and design, technical consulting, construction, testing and inspection, engineering supervision, as well as related services such as smart transportation design, BIM design, integrated bridge-and-tourism design, and full-process consulting for projects including expressways, national and provincial trunk roads, bridges, tunnels, pavement, geotechnical engineering, and traffic engineering. We can provide end-to-end technical services across the entire highway industry value chain.

The Transportation Division is the largest division under the company. The Transportation Division comprises 10 production departments, including the First Survey and Design Institute, the Second Survey and Design Institute, the Third Survey and Design Institute, the Bridge Design Institute, the Tunnel and Transportation Engineering Design Institute, the Railway Design Institute, the Planning and Consulting Institute, the Civil Aviation Design Institute, the Digital Transportation Institute, and the Testing and Inspection Center.

The company has completed the preparation of major transportation plans for the entire province, conducted feasibility studies for over 7,000 kilometers of expressways nationwide, carried out survey and design work for more than 4,000 kilometers of expressways across the country, provided consulting and review services for over 1,000 kilometers of expressways nationwide, and undertaken survey and design work for national and provincial trunk highways in numerous provinces across the country. Leveraging its strong expertise in survey and design of mountainous expressways, the company has provided intellectual support for the rational construction of expressways, protection of the ecological environment, cost savings, reduction of engineering changes, and shortening of construction timelines.

 

The company has accumulated over 300 national-level and ministerial/provincial-level awards for surveying, design, consulting, and technological progress in the highway industry. It holds more than 300 patents and software copyrights, has undertaken nearly 200 scientific research projects at various levels—including national, provincial, and ministerial— and participated in drafting over 70 national, industry, local, and group standards. The Pingtang Bridge, designed by the company, was awarded the “China Construction Engineering Luban Prize (National High-Quality Project)” for the 2022–2023 period, the “Gustav Lindenthal” Award at the 38th International Bridge Conference in 2020, the FIDIC Global Outstanding Project Award in 2021, and the “Outstanding Infrastructure Award” from the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE) in 2022. The Huayudong Bridge received the “Gustav Lindenthal” Award at the 39th International Bridge Conference in 2022. The Tencent Qixing Data Center Project (Phase I) in Gui’an New Area was honored with the 20th China Civil Engineering詹天佑 Award presented by the China Civil Engineering Society in December 2023. The long tunnel complex on the Zhenxi Expressway in Guizhou won the 2021 NCE Tunnel Engineering Award. The Zhenxi Expressway itself was awarded the only Global Road Achievement Award (GRAA) in the environmental protection category by the International Road Federation (IRF Global) in 2022. The Lüzhijiang Bridge on the Yuxi–Chuxiong Expressway in Yunnan won the 2023 FIDIC Global Infrastructure Outstanding Project Award. The Huajiang Gorge Bridge on the Lu’an Expressway, with a main span of 1,420 meters and a height of 625 meters, is currently recognized as the “world’s longest span bridge in mountainous canyons” and the “world’s highest bridge.” It serves as a model for Guizhou’s Bridge-Tourism Integration 3.0—a comprehensive bridge-tourism complex that integrates “bridge sightseeing, extreme sports experiences, and tourism services,” embodying the global paradigm of “building world-class scenic areas through world-class bridges.”
