Guizhou Provincial Transportation Planning, Survey & Design Research Institute Co., Ltd. (stock code: 603458.SH) was established in 1958. In 1994, it transitioned to enterprise-based management as a public institution. In October 2001, it officially transformed into a state-owned enterprise. The company holds “Dual Comprehensive Grade A” qualifications for surveying and design, as well as a Grade A qualification for engineering consulting firms, enabling it to provide end-to-end consulting services across all stages of various construction projects. It features characteristics such as “constant temperature, constant humidity, high concealment, high protection, and high security.” During his inspection, Premier Li Keqiang praised it as a “fairyland cave.” The Pingtang Super Bridge, also independently designed by the company, won the 38th International Bridge Conference’s “Gustav Lindenthal” Award in 2020 and the FIDIC Global Project Awards Special Excellence Award in 2021. The long-tunnel complex on the Zhenxi Expressway in Guizhou was awarded the 2021 NCE Tunnel Engineering Award. This marks Guizhou’s first-ever international tunnel award and represents China’s second time winning this prestigious award, following the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge’s island-and-tunnel project. The Huajiang Canyon Bridge on the Lu’an Expressway, currently under design, boasts a main span of 1,420 meters and a height of 625 meters. Upon completion and opening to traffic, it will become both the “world’s longest span bridge over a mountain canyon” and the “world’s highest bridge.”
